Mission Statement
The Tax Collector’s office is responsible for collection of all real, personal property, excise tax and water bills. The office records and posts on a daily basis. All monies collected are deposited on a daily basis. The Tax Collector has the authority to hire Deputy Collectors, Kelley & Ryan, to aid in the collection of delinquent taxes. Parking tickets can be paid in the Collector's office as well as the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
Municipal Lien certificates are also issued through this office. Forms are available at the cashier’s stations or online here. Policies for these municipal lien certificates are as follows:
Please submit the following with the completion of certified municipal
lien certificate request:
1. A check or money order in the full amount charged for each
lien certificate; $50.00 residential, $100.00 commercial and $200.00
industrial. Please do not send cash by mail.
2. A self addressed, pre-stamped envelope with the address of
the location where the documents are to be sent. Please be sure to
provide sufficient postage for requests with multiple documents.
